Ofelia is committed to her Tennis academy. She is a year round tennis athletic, as of the age of 8. She has devoted her summers and school year, to participate in Zina Garrison Tennis Academy. She has volunteered countless hours (200 Plus hours) of her own time to help/volunteer coach young children.
She has taken dual credit college courses during the last few years of her high school. Currently she will enter college with 20 plus hours.
She is committed in her Catholic Religion, she continues her faith at Saint Elizabeth Seaton in preparation for her confirmation. She continues to be active, and not afraid to stand for her walk with Christ.
Accomplishments:
- Has won several tennis tournaments, placing in 1st numerously, 1st place consolation, 2nd Place. Her commit level for the game has steady increased, as well as her level of play.
- Selected as an American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Delegate/Alternate. She was identified as a leader within CyLakes school, and her community. A scholarship was awarded.
- She was awarded a $1000.00 scholarship for the college of her choice.
- She was awarded a full one week Tennis scholarship to Sonoma State University in California.
- Tennis Tournament in Florida, placed 2nd place in Singles.
- Reciepent of 2011-2012 Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). One student is awarded this honor, Teacher elect and select student.
- 2013 placed 2nd in Singles 16 ATA National Champships (American Tennis Association).
